Nothing But Trouble
The lyrics are engaging, subtle and at times subliminal. Allan's 8th cd, this one is more
along the lines of the blues idiom, with a touch of jazz sprinkled in for flavor. Featured
Vocalist, Myriet Jno-Lewis, originally from North Carolina, but now residing in DC.
You will love the way she plays with the lyrics when needed, and belts it out when warranted!
She can be sweet and sassy! Myriet and Allan have performed and recorded together for several
years. She currently performs as one of the featured vocalists in the Big Enough Band
Anthony Junior plays the drums and sings on 3 of the tunes His drumming provides a strong
foundation for all of the songs. His vocals truly express the emotions of each word he sings.
Jim Callahan plays the upright on one of the songs, he performs regularly with the
"Big Enough Band" His playing will be more prominently featured on the next cd, due out
sometime next year.
Vih Duffy provides some wonderful harmonies that enhance the main vocals, she
performs regularly with “Big Enough Band”.
Mike Gedzelman's alto sax will be sure to enthrall you, always playing just what should
be there, just the right way! Mike performs with the Big Enough Band.
Allan wrote all of the material, played the guitar(s) and for the most part the bass.
Although he considers himself a songwriter first and foremost, you will discover that he is a
competent guitarist / bassist. He is able to bring out the emotions in a song with his
expressive voice.

Features the vocals of Myriet, Shashi, and newcomer-Danielle Rosner on a song that she and Allan co-wrote (Summernight's Delight). Josh and Todd are ever present and as always, shinning stars! Most of the Bass parts are by Scott Harlan, Gene Shuman played on 'Sumernight's Delight' and Allan covered the rest....
Tony Junior and Jordyn Blakely played drums on most of the tunes. Nate Oliver played on '
Summernight's Delight, Solitary Moment, and Cuttin' Loose.

Mid-Atlantic Song writing contest. With thousands of entries from
all over the world, this is a strong showing!
There are some nice Jazz and blues ballads, a couple of Bossa Nova's, and some swing.

This is Allan’s’ 4th disc, and again, contains some wonderful, all NEW original material. “Cold Wind” is more in the blues, and blues rock genre than the previous CD's.
This cd is in the process of a little makeover/remix.... I've added some new material, new arrangements of the originals and released it as "Nothing But Trouble"

Features Rich Durbin on tenor sax and Flute, Tom Wetmore on Upright bass on several cuts. Also a song Allan Co-wrote with Shayan Torabi; Precious Moments, with Shayan doing the vocals and Owen Rockwell on drums. Anthony Junior plays drums on the rest of the material.. Most of the original drum tracks have been re-recorded an the new recordings will be available soon.

The idea for Free Rein was born of necessity. We don't write just one kind of song. Some of our songs are happy, some are sad, some are about love, some are about hate, and some are just silly little ditties. More importantly, our songs seem to naturally fit into very different styles of music, and our songs change as we write and play them (depending on the phase of the moon).
